What is the minimum spend?

We have a daily minimum spend of $100 (or € or £) and a minimum campaign period of 3 days.  We chose this as a minimum to ensure your campaign achieved your goals.

What is the maximum spend?

$65,000 (or € or £).  If your budget exceeds this, please contact our sales team at sales@smartology.net to discuss our fully managed service.

Why is my date range restricted?

We have a daily minimum spend of $100 (or € or £).  We will restrict your campaign dates to ensure that your budget matches or exceeds 100 units of your chosen currency every day.

I’m stuck at ‘Build your creative’.  How do I proceed?

Creative size, fonts and colours .  Use ‘Set Creative’ . Preview your work – activate Next

Before you can proceed to the next stage of your campaign set up, you will need to select the creative size for your ad.  We currently support 300×250 and 300×600, but will be releasing new IAB standard formats based on demand.

We default to Roboto font in black, but you may change this by choosing Edit for ‘Creative styling’.

Click on the Set Creative button to save your changes and you can now preview your creatives and edit as necessary to achieve the desired effect.

Clicking Next will take you to your Campaign Summary page where you can perform a final check, before submitting for approval.

How do I add budget to a campaign?

It is not possible to add budget to a campaign that is already running. Instead we recommend that you use the copy feature to duplicate all the settings of the running campaign and adjust dates and budget as appropriate to this campaign, which will be approved and invoiced separately to the current campaign.

Can I stop delivery overnight?

Our bidding algorithm optimises bids based on time of day. So it bids less at night when there is less traffic and more during the times of day when traffic is at its highest and always optimises for quality of the contextual match.

Why is my article image not scraped?

We only support JPG and PNG images with a limit of 1 MB.

Why do clicks not appear in reports?

If you have opted to use third party trackers from one of the supported providers: Sizmek, Google Ad Manager, Atlas Solutions or Flashtalking, then we suppress SmartMatch click tracking. Any two tracking systems will produce different results and the margin of difference can vary greatly for many reasons. If you have selected a trusted third party for tracking, then your reporting needs are best served by reference to this data provider.
