Smartology crowned Tech Provider of the Year at the 2016 British Media Awards for ‘Adsense on Acid’

Wins gold for semantic digital advertising technology SmartMatch

Smartology has won the Technology Provider of the Year at the 2016 British Media Awards for its contextual digital advertising platform, SmartMatch™.  The results were announced in a ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel in London on 4 May.

Judged by a panel of experts drawn from a wide range of communication disciplines, the British Media Awards celebrate inspiring and creative ideas that change the way the media industry works.

SmartMatch enables corporate brands to raise their profile through distributing their branded content alongside semantically relevant articles on premium publisher sites.  This increases ROI on advertising budgets, enables publishers to charge a premium for content because ads can be so highly targeted and provides consumers with relevant, non-disruptive content.  SmartMatch is integrated with 15 of the world’s largest premium media owners and used by over 40 global B2B brands for campaigns.

Commenting on the award win, the BMA judging panel described SmartMatch as “‘Adsense on Acid’, innovation with real ROI and a product that was a brilliant solution to a problem faced by many media companies.”  One judge concluded that they were considering using SmartMatch for their own operations as a result of the award entry.
