Silver for Smartology:
Smartology are pleased to announce a silver in City Wealth Magazine’s annual award ceremony held on 21st June at The Trafalgar St. Jame’s Hotel in London.
The award received was for our SmartMatch™ technology in the category of Product/Service of the Year 2018. The Award was received by Gary Neal, COO and Krisztina Rucz, Financial Controller of Smartology.
SmartMatch semantically profiles media owner articles and client’s branded content, injecting the most relevant client editorial and video thought leadership into dynamic creative advertising formats alongside contextually relevant media owner articles. Using natural language processing, the system understands the true meaning of words and phrases, meaning it can create matches based on concepts and topics (i.e. battery powered cars / electric vehicles / Tesla) rather than specific keywords. It compiles a profile for each piece of advertiser content and uses this profile to ‘match’ with relevant publisher article profiles.
Smartology was founded in London in 2010 and initially worked with publishers including the BBC and FT.com to target editorial content more efficiently across their websites. In 2012, the business re-focused to cater to the increasing demand of advertisers wanting to make better use of their branded content in creatives for online ads, which led to the creation of SmartMatch™ in 2013. SmartMatch is a machine learning and NLP based platform which enables brands to raise their profile through cutting-edge contextually relevant, branded content targeting in dynamic ad creatives.
