The Role

Join a fast-paced tech start-up and the sales team that understands how to talk about premium content and integrated solutions campaigns to Global B2b, B2c, and Financial brands.

Smartology is dedicated to providing innovative advertising content solutions “Where Content & Context Connect” that help shape key business decisions around the world from luxury brands to banks to media agencies and much more. You’ll take pride in working with such a fantastic company and a wonderful team across the globe. 

The role will interface closely with the Sales Director and Sales Team all reporting to the CEO. As Sales Executive, you will be developing and growing successful accounts and expanding the reach within existing accounts. The Sales Team will be targeted on delivery of revenue growth through new agency and brand accounts. 

The Sales Team works closely with the Customer Success Team that operates on a model, targeted around relevant revenue growth and renewals on the SmartMatch platform which supports pricing models for both self-service and managed service clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. SmartMatch product adoption, leading a positive customer experience, and driving growth through new agency and brand accounts.
  2. Understand and communicate Smartology’s competitive differentiators in a dynamic digital advertising landscape.
  3. Communicate the value of the SmartMatch platform by walking through detailed demonstrations of the product.
  4. Identify, pitch, and close platform sales deals with agencies and brands.
  5. Prepare pitch materials, media plans, proposals, and RFP responses.
  6. With help of the Sales Director to source leads and sell to agencies and brands with responsibility for meeting a quarterly sales target.
  7. Accurately forecast your expected sales and revenue to the Sales Director 
  8. Grow and update sales pipelines with designated CRM tool/s. 
  9. Build relationships with stakeholders internationally at agency and brand clients.

Required Experience/Skills:

  1. 2+ years of experience in online advertising Sales/BD.
  2. Possessing a level of proven ability to negotiate & close sales, and proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations.
  3. Experience at an online publisher, or media agency preferable or a background within online advertising.
  4. Proficient knowledge and understanding of digital advertising and the programmatic landscape.
  5.  Exceptional customer facing skills backed up with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6.  Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  7. Team player – able to develop strong relationships within the revenue team to help achieve overall objectives.
  8. Relevant Bachelor’s degree; preference for business, marketing or related.

Desireable

  1. Degree level qualification 
  2. A minimum two years sales experience in the advertising and media sector.
