Management Accountant

Joining the CFO, FC (on Mat leave) and a wider team of 25, we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join us as a key member of our fun (we like to think) company! Given the small size of the company this is a varied role, working across the whole company and requires you to get fully involved with both transactional accounting and the wider needs of the entire team:

    Day to day
  • Ensuring the accuracy and the reconciliation of day to day bookkeeping is kept on Xero
  • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Staff expenses management
  • Control of balance sheet reconciliations

    Sales and debtors
  • Ensuring that the sales forecast process if followed to ensure accurate forecasting
  • Checking customer invoices and sending out to clients
  • Managing our relationship with our invoice financing provider (Optimum)
  • Working closely with the customer success & sales team in dealing with client billing queries

    Cash Management
  • Weekly short-term cash flow management
  • Processing the weekly payment runs
  • Following up on client billing, proactively ensuring that invoices are paid in accordance with our payment terms
  • Pay HMRC and manage the relationship

    Internal Reporting
  • Attend daily stand ups to provide internal monthly reporting on short term forecasts
  • Closely monitor campaign margins and generate a monthly report for the board
  • Collaborating with the tech team to automate sales reporting using our Zoho Analytics software
  • Month end, Management Accounts and all reporting for the board (including any ad hoc requests)
  • Work with the CFO in share management, submitting to the HMRC and distributing the certificates

    HR & Payroll
  • Managing the monthly payroll and pension contributions
  • Managing the new starter and leaver requirements

What we’d like you to bring to the table…

  • Relevant experience in finance and accounting
  • Part-qualified in accountancy and looking to continue studying
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with managing varied software including Xero and Excel
  • A confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • A team player, collaborating with every department of the business
  • Self-motivated and eager to work in a rapidly changing early stage company environment
